FasTest Adds M8 Termination Option and Introduces New Calibration Tool

FasTest, Inc. introduces the latest generation of its Connection Verification™ technology for its industry leading pneumatically actuated FE Series and FI Series quick connectors. FE+ and FI+ Connection Verification enabled quick connectors utilize an embedded, high-resolution sensor to signal when the connector has properly actuated.

This unique technology improves leak testing efficiency by reducing the number of failed tests due to improper connections caused by a variety of common problems, including operator placement or even worn seals. Connection Verification technology improves safety and efficiency in automated, semi-automated or manual leak test stations. “Connection Verification was specifically designed to eliminate waste caused by unidentified connection failures during leak tests,” said Dustin Sirny, Product Development Manager. “By enabling operators to pinpoint a failed connection prior to running a leak test, we are able to eliminate diagnostic time and the associated costs.

The new Connection Verification system offers an M8 electrical termination for use in demanding industrial environments as well as dunk testing applications. The system also features a new Calibration Tool that enables users to easily program their FasTest quick connectors in less than a minute. The Calibration Tool utilizes a “teach button”, along with visual LED signal output status and a signal inverter for easy setup in many applications. “Since introducing our initial Connection Verification technology, we have worked closely with our customers to gather feedback and quickly develop a new iteration that satisfies their demanding requirements,” said Sirny. “We are committed to developing new SMART technologies that make leak testing connections safer, highly repeatable and more efficient.”
